Terms and Conditions

The rules that apply when you browse our website, submit an enquiry, or make a direct booking with Explore Nature Mara Lodge.

These Terms and Conditions govern direct interactions with Explore Nature Mara Lodge through this website. Specific offers, confirmations, vouchers, or custom itineraries may include additional terms that apply alongside this page.

Use of This Website

By using this website, making an enquiry, or placing a booking request, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to any booking-specific terms shared with you during confirmation.

You may use the website only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes connected to learning about our lodge, contacting us, or making a reservation.

Booking Information

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current, including guest names, contact details, travel dates, and any other details required to process a booking.

If information supplied by you is incomplete or incorrect, we may be unable to confirm or fulfil the reservation as requested.

Payments and Confirmation

Submitting information through the website does not by itself create a confirmed reservation. A booking is confirmed only after we accept it and issue written confirmation.

Rates, inclusions, and payment schedules may vary by room type, season, package, and availability. The pricing and refund rules published on this website form part of these Terms and Conditions.

Guest Responsibilities

Guests are responsible for obtaining any passports, visas, vaccinations, travel insurance, and other travel documents required for their trip.

During your stay, you agree to follow reasonable lodge rules, staff instructions, wildlife safety guidance, and all applicable laws and park regulations.

You are responsible for any loss or damage caused by intentional, reckless, or negligent acts by you or members of your party.

Changes, Cancellations, and Force Majeure

Changes and cancellations are governed by the booking terms communicated at the time of confirmation and by our Pricing and Refund Policy where relevant.

We are not liable for delay, cancellation, or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, flooding, wildfire, civil unrest, government restrictions, transport disruption, disease outbreaks, labour disputes, or utility failures.

Where possible, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule or otherwise manage bookings affected by such events.

Third-Party Services

Some parts of your journey may involve third-party providers such as transport operators, guides, payment processors, booking channels, social media platforms, or mapping services.

Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their acts, omissions, availability, or content except where required by law.

Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, logos, branding, photographs, graphics, and layout, belongs to Explore Nature Mara Lodge or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, or exploit website content without prior written permission, except for normal personal use connected with planning a stay at the lodge.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with use of this website or a direct booking is limited to the amount paid directly to us for the affected service.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses, including loss of enjoyment, loss of opportunity, or third-party travel costs, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

Privacy

Your use of this website is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data shared through the website and direct booking process.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless another mandatory law applies to your booking.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent courts of Kenya, subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
